Combining professional standards with sophisticated design, the modular buffet systems offer maximum flexibility for solo, line, or free-flow configurations. The individual modules make it possible to create a complete food serving system in a very short time and to modify or expand it whenever required. Perfectly suited for large-scale catering, corporate catering, hospitals, and military applications.

In keeping with the system concept, the Rolling Buffets are equipped with fully professional commercial kitchen technology based on the Gastronorm 1/1 standard. This applies to all system variants, including bain-maries, refrigerated wells, refrigerated compartments, and even the built-in refrigerators. As a result, the Rolling Buffets meet the highest standards in both form and function.

The System

A buffet system should adapt to the requirements – not the other way around. Different functional modules can be freely combined to create individual food and beverage serving solutions, expanded as needed, or rearranged to suit changing requirements. Whether used as a linear serving line, an island concept, or a temporary catering station, the system offers maximum flexibility in planning, setup, and operation.

Areas of Application

From institutional catering, corporate restaurants, and hospitality to event catering, hospitals, sports arenas, and mobile food service concepts, the Rolling Buffet is suitable for a wide range of catering environments. Its versatile configuration options make it possible to create solutions tailored precisely to the specific requirements of each application.

Connection Systems
published

The modular buffet units can be connected safely, securely, and with minimal effort. Mechanical connection elements ensure reliable alignment of the individual modules, while the integrated electrical coupling enables the power supply of multiple buffet units.

This creates continuous buffet solutions with a harmonious appearance, high functionality, and minimal installation effort.

Electrical Connections

All buffet units are equipped with their own on-board electrical system. The only exceptions are Intermediate and Corner Buffets, which are electrically bridged using connection cables. All other buffet units can be connected in sequence.

Power is supplied via a mains cable connected to the right-hand end of the first buffet unit, viewed from the operator side. From there, the power supply is carried from one buffet unit to the next.

Important: The maximum permissible total connected load of the linked buffet units is 10.5 kW, or 3.5 kW per phase. This limit applies not only to the connected load of the buffet units themselves, but also to all appliances installed in or additionally connected to the system.

If the permissible total load is exceeded, a suitably rated mains cable and corresponding CEE socket outlet are required. This version is available on request.

Module sizes

All functional modules of the Rolling Buffet system are available in three sizes. The standard lengths of 1,270 mm, 1,770 mm and 2,270 mm provide the basis for flexible, customised buffet configurations.

Tray slides

Top options

The modular tops are available as single- or double-tier versions with a pass-through height of 275 mm. Depending on requirements, open or closed versions are available, as well as configurations without lighting, with lighting or with integrated lighting and heating. This allows food to be presented attractively and kept warm as required.

Materials & Surfaces

The choice of materials determines both the appearance and how the buffet system integrates into its surroundings. As standard, the front panels on the guest side are finished in lacquered wood veneer and the end panels in lacquered MDF, both in RAL 9011 Graphite Black. In addition, various material and décor options, such as Resopal® or custom wood veneers, are available for the guest side.

Other materials are also available on request. All cladding elements can also be finished in any desired RAL color. Work and serving surfaces as well as side panels can also be individually configured. This creates a buffet solution that blends harmoniously into the architecture, interior concept or corporate design while meeting the highest standards of functionality and durability.

The key component for your food service

The Rieber GN system stands for seamless, efficient processes throughout the entire food workflow. Robust reusable GN containers in a wide range of sizes and depths enable hygienic storage, transport, and serving and are fully compatible with all GN systems and products. A variety of lid solutions extends the functionality of the containers for each process step – from hygienic protection and safe, watertight transport to vacuum sealing.

With GN-thermoplates®, Rieber takes the GN standard one step further by turning it into energy-efficient cookware. The conductive SWISS | PLY multi-layer material ensures fast and even distribution of heat and cold. This allows food to be prepared, chilled, regenerated, kept warm, transported, and served directly from the buffet in the same GN container – without the need for time-consuming transfer between containers.

In this way, Rieber combines containers, cookware, and accessories into one integrated GN system, reducing handling, improving energy efficiency, and ensuring consistently high food quality.
